Repy Board® & HELIBOARD®; Ideal Solutions for Farmers to Access Markets Even in Rainy Season
Repy Board® (plastic ground plate) is manufactured from recycled polyethylene, which size is 1,230×2,200×13mm. HELIBOARD® (portable helipad) consists of a combination of Repy Boards®. These boards are quite rugged, but so lightweight that it is easy to transport and install by hand, without any assistance of heavy machines.

Roads of Repy Boards® enable farmers to access markets even in rainy season, which helps motivate farmers for more production and income to get out of poverty. HELIBOARD® is an ideal helipad in developing countries where heavy equipment is rarely available. Rural areas are prone to natural disasters. In such an event, helicopters are deployed to transport first-aid team to inaccessible locations for aid to victims. Helipad is essential for safe flight of helicopters, and HELIBOARD® can be installed within a couple of hours.
For construction of rural roads, Repy Board® is much more advantageous than concrete/asphalt both in cost and time. Repy Boards® require no heavy equipment for installation. Repy Board® has long service life of 30+ years, which helps to save cost for maintenance.
Helipad is conventionally made of aluminum, stainless steel or concrete. HELIBOARD® is not as aesthetic as such helipads, but is equivalent to those helipads in practical use. In consideration of the lifespan of HELIBOARD® of 30+ years, HELIBOARD® is far better than conventional helipads in terms of cost performance.

Technical maturity / Past record of introduction
OOHASHI CO., LTD. launched manufacturing Repy Board® more than 30 years ago. Nowadays, 15,000 pcs. of Repy Boards® are annually supplied to private businesses, farmers and public sectors including local municipalities and The Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF).
In developing countries, around 4,000m2 of Repy Board® has been installed in Thailand and Vietnam.
HELIBOARD® is a new product of OOHASHI CO., LTD., and five units of HELIBOARD® have been supplied to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transportation and Tourism (MLIT).
OOHASHI CO., LTD. has developed the technologies for recycling crosslinked polyethylene, in cooperation with a local institute and plastic manufacturers.
