Event Report: “Mauritius: Africa’s Investment Hub”

UNIDO ITPO Tokyo organized an online seminar “Mauritius: Africa’s Investment Hub”, jointly with the Economic Development Board Mauritius (EDB) on 25 November 2020.

The seminar was opened by Mr. Yasunaga, Head, UNIDO ITPO Tokyo, and Mr. Poonoosamy from EDB presented investment potentials of Mauritius with its economical and geographic advantages.

Mr. Ishihara from JETRO and Mr. Komatsu from EDB added that Mauritius has EPAs and FTAs with various regions and countries, and safety is another attractiveness for investors. In their presentations, the importance of Mauritius as an investment hub which connects Africa, Asia and Middle East was also highlighted.
