UNIDO ITPO Tokyo co-organized African Business Networking Fair 2019 by JICA on Wednesday, 13 March, 2019.
118 African youths, who arrived in Japan last September as the 5th batch under the ABE Initiative programme – African Business Education Initiative for Youth, gathered from all over Japan for the African Business Networking Fair 2019 at Toshi Center Hotel, Tokyo. The venue was crowded with those African students visiting 65 Japanese company booths for internship opportunities as well as African country booths.
For the side event, 2 selected Japanese companies have presented their own views on ABE Initiatives and the experience on welcoming the interns. The companies cooperate with the interns under ABE Initiatives from Africa to collect local business information, and to get started on looking for opportunities in Africa. At the end of the event, Mr. Yuko Yasunaga, the Head of UNIDO ITPO Tokyo, made a presentation on UNIDO’s AFRICA-JAPAN Partnership Promotions and Partnerships Japanese Private Sectors and UNIDO that has been done successfully to explain how important it is for the Japanese companies to consider investing in Africa.
