Global Festa Japan 2018 [Tokyo]

Global Festa Japan 2018 [Tokyo]

A Japan’s biggest international cooperation event, Global Festa JAPAN 2018, was held in Odaiba marking its 28th anniversary this year. UNIDO ITPO Tokyo, as in past years, participated in the event and hosted an exhibition booth.

This event is co-organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and Japan NGO Center for International Cooperation (JANIC) with a purpose to make the public familiar with international cooperation and to deepen their understanding of international aids and development.

The typhoon unfortunately shortened the two days event to one day. Despite the unfavorable weather and the cancellation of the second day, more than 300 people including young students and adults who are interested in international development activities visited the UNIDO booth and they learned its missions and activities through panel exhibitions, quiz and interactions with staffs. It was a great opportunity to disseminate UNIDO’s activities to the general public.
