UNIDO ITPO Tokyo cooperated with Nikkei Inc. and Japan Environmental Management Association for Industry (JEMAI) to jointly organize a half-day visit for Embassy officials from developing and emerging countries to the “Eco-Products 2015” exhibition, which took place on 10 December in Tokyo Big Sight.
15 diplomats (from 13 countries) visited booths of 8 Japanese companies. During the visit, diplomats attentively listened to the explanations on the latest environmentally friendly technologies. Many participants commented it was a great opportunity to learn the advanced technologies available in Japan.
The programme helped diplomats stationed in Japan to benefit from the knowledge of Japanese technologies which can be applicable to developing and emerging nations. Nowadays, the Japan’s eco-friendly technologies are needed to resolve a number of environmental challenges confronted by many parts of the world.
