UNIDO ITPO Tokyo invited environmental experts from Bangladesh and Vietnam to Japan, and held individual meetings with STePP-registered companies between 13 to 14 November 2023 to discuss potential business opportunities and partnerships available in both countries.

This occasion was provided exclusively to STePP-registered companies, who were all invited to reserve individual meetings with the experts. Four companies registered their interest and had the opportunity to present their technology directly to the experts. Six business sessions were organized, where fruitful discussions on the specific needs of both countries and how STePP-registered technologies could address such needs, were held between both parties.

The meetings also provided an opportunity for STePP-registered companies to collect information on ongoing initiatives and contact points within both the Governments of Bangladesh and Vietnam, to gain future avenues to expand their business abroad.

This occasion was one of several means in which the UNIDO Tokyo Office assists STePP-registered companies to transfer their technologies to developing countries. Other than matching the needs of the countries with STePP-registered technologies directly through meetings with delegations and experts invited by our office, we also introduce technologies to developing countries through our website, video creation, and various exhibitions.
