UNIDO ITPO Tokyo invited Mr. Ariful Hoque, Director, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) from 22 to 26 May 2023.

Mr. Hoque, with working experience in the Bangladesh government for 27 years, joined Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) in 2016 as Director. At BIDA he has been engaged in activities including making policies, implementing measures to improve ivenstment climate and attracting foreign direct investment into Bangladesh.

Mr. Hoque’s Activities during the Delegate Programme

During his stay in Japan, Mr. Hoque made presentations at seminars and B2Bs held in Fukuoka, Osaka and Tokyo. During those events, Mr. Hoque met individually with over 20 Japanese companies and organizations who have interests to develop business in Bangladesh. 

Mr. Hoque also visited Nissan Motor Kyushu Plant in Fukuoka, and attended the roundtable meeting to exchange information and views to further promote Japanese investments to Bangladesh with the officials of Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He also participated in the networking session organized by the Embassy of Bangladesh in Tokyo and interacted with the representatives of leading Japanese companies and Non Resident Bangladeshis in Japan.
