UNIDO ITPO Tokyo, jointly with the Investment Promotion Center in Cote d’Ivoire (CEPICI), is organizing an online business matching with the following official and Ms. Aïssatou NDIAYE, UNIDO ITPO Tokyo Africa Advisor, from 12 to 29 July, 2022.
This online delegate programme aims to promote of the latest investment climate and business opportunities in Côte d’Ivoire to encourage Japanese business communities to further invest in the country.

Biography of Mr. Thierry BADOU (CEPICI)
Thierry BADOU is a seasoned marketing and sales professional which had the opportunity to work in international groups in the mobile telecommunication sector in Côte d’Ivoire where he built his sense of professionalism. He also learned in this demanding environment how to uncover customer needs and how to deal with both internal and external entities to provide the relevant support they need.
He is graduated from the National Polytechnic Institute of Côte d’Ivoire, where he holds a master degree in Business Administration from Ecole Superieure de Commerce d’Abidjan (ESCA), one of the top leading business schools in west Africa. He also holds a Certificate in Business English completed in the University of Brighton, in the UK, and certificates in FDI Promotion, Investment Facilitation and Territorial Marketing.
Thierry joined CEPICI, the Ivoirian national investment promotion agency in 2016, as Regional Head of Investment promotion. In this key organization, he sharpened his sense and abilities to serve companies and private sector in general, with the ambition to foster the achievement of the country’s foreign direct investment attraction goals.
He managed portfolios of hundreds of investment projects amounted to hundreds of millions of dollars. He also successfully managed, on a yearly basis, multiple business forums, trade missions, roundtables in the view to facilitate new investment leads generation, set up initial contacts with foreign companies and provide relevant support to ease their set up in Côte d’Ivoire.
He also built and manages networks of focal points in local ministries and public service organizations, private sector organizations, foreign embassies services in charge of commercial affairs and international organizations in order to enable the provision of effective support to the investors.
Thierry BADOU is today the Director of Investment Attraction in CEPICI. He is married and a father of four.
