UNIDO ITPO Tokyo will organize an online business matching event “Japan-Africa Business Partner Matching” with UNIDO ITPO Tokyo’s African Advisors and African companies from 11 countries for 20 November – 4 December 2020.
In the resolution of the UN General Assembly in 1989, November 20 was decided to be designated as “Africa Industrialization Day”. Since then, UNIDO has been organizing a variety of events every year on 20 November in collaboration with the African Union (AU) and United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA).
On this occasion, UNIDO ITPO Tokyo will provide an online business matching platform for African and Japanese companies from 20 November to 4 December 2020. By registering on the platform and creating a company profile, Japanese companies will be able to search and see profiles of about 150 companies from 11 African countries and have online meetings during the event period. In addition, UNIDO ITPO Tokyo’s African Advisors will also be available on the platform for meetings with companies.
On the first day, “Africa Business Seminar” will be also broadcasted on the platform, which will be jointly organized with JETRO, JICA and UNDP. Details of the seminar will be announced soon.

Registered African companies
Around 150 companies from 11 African countries (Algeria, Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal, Tunisia, Uganda), selected by UNIDO African Advisors and partner organizations.
Besides, you can also reach UNIDO African Advisors, investment promotion agencies, and chambers of commerce registered on the platform.

Registration Procedures
*The registration is closed as of 2 December.

2. You will receive a confirmation e-mail from the platform within 2-3 days after registration.
Complete your registration by setting your password as instructed in the e-mail.
*Please send us a message at “Contact for inquiries” if you do not receive an e-mail in a week.

*You can set up meetings right after your registration, even prior to the event period.
