Online seminar "Nigeria Business Seminar" will be held on 16 September

UNIDO ITPO Tokyo will organize the online seminar “Nigeria Business Seminar” on 16 September 2020, jointly with Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) .

In this online seminar, Ms. Yewande Sadiku, Executive Secretary/CEO of Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), will give a keynote presentation, followed by panel sessions with various panelists from the private sector of Japan and Nigeria as well as the public sector supporting business activities in Nigeria. NIPC officers; Mr. Mohammed Baba in charge of Japan and Mr. Abayomi Salami will join the panel sessions, and questions from the audience will be answered.

Online individual meeting with NIPC will be also organized.

Mr. Yuko Yasunaga, Head, UNIDO ITPO Tokyo
Mr. Yasunaga has had an extensive career with Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), with expertise in the areas of Natural Resources and Technology. Dr. Yasunaga was Vice-President and later Councilor of Japan’s National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) from 2013 – 2017 and held key managerial posts within METI from 2002 – 2013.
Dr. Yasunaga holds a Ph.D. in Engineering, from the University of Tokyo.

Mr. Ade Adefeko, Vice President Corporate and Government Relations,
Olam Nigeria Limited
He is in charge of External Communication and Stakeholder Management at OLAM NIGERIA, the largest Agribusiness/food company in Nigeria and a subsidiary of OLAM international of Singapore the parent company with a presence in 25 countries in Africa. He is Vice Chairman of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria ExportGroup (MANEG) and Chairman of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).

Mr. Mohammed Baba, Deputy Director of Investor Relations, NIPC
Mr. Baba has joined the services of NIPC as a pioneer staff in 1999 and he has helped in nurturing business in Nigeria through effective service delivery and aftercare services. He leads a team that provides quality investment facilitation and aftercare services to investors doing business in Nigeria. He is also the Desk Officer Japan where he provides the necessary support to all Japanese companies intending or doing business in Nigeria.
Mr. Abayomi Salami, Deputy Director of Policy Advocacy, NIPC
Mr. Salami is a Deputy Director with twenty years working experience with the NIPC;a Federal Government agency established to encourage, promote and coordinate investments in Nigeria. He is skilled in Policy Analysis, Investment Negotiations, Business Networking, International Relations, Market Research, and Aftercare Services.
