国連工業開発機関（UNIDO）は、日本国経済産業省拠出金により、持続可能な開発のための地熱及び関連技術によるエネルギー創出プログラムを実施しています。本プログラムの下、地熱発電の有望地域であるアフリカの大地溝帯エリア６ケ国（ジブチ、エチオピア、ケニア、ルワンダ、タンザニア、ウガンダ）の地熱政策担当者を日本に招聘し、7月18日（火）にアフリカ地熱開発のためのワークショップ、7月24日（月）、25日（火）に地熱ビジネスマッチングイベントを開催します。
