Laos |
| UNIDO Tokyo invited Mr.
Vilayvong Bouddakham, Deputy Secretary General of the Lao People's
Revolutionary Youth Union as an investment promotion expert from 16
October to 2 November 2006. Mr. Vilayvong worked for the Department
for Domestic and Foreign Investment (DDFI), Committee for Planning
and Investment (CPI) as a Deputy Director General until June 2006.
He is well acquainted with investment regulations and procedures,
as well as the investment climate and opportunities in the country.
While in Japan, he introduced the business climate of Laos and promising
sectors, focusing on electricity, mining, transportation, tourism
and agricultural processing to Japanese investors. Anyone interested

Indonesia, Sulawesi |
| UNIDO Tokyo invited Mr.
Yos Harmen, Chief of the Sub-Division of Cooperation Affairs, Promotion
and Investment Board, South Sulawesi from 27 June (Tuesday) to 21
July (Friday) 2006 as an investment promotion expert. After working
for the South Sulawesi Regional Development Planning Board, Mr. Harmen
joined the Promotion Investment Board in 2002 and has been involved
in planning investment policies and offering services for investors.
While in Japan, he introduced the business climate focusing on agricultural
products that included agro-fishery products, wood products, cacao,
coconuts, and corn through individual meetings with the Japanese private

| UNIDO Tokyo invited Mr.
Guracha Adi, Senior Investment Promotion Officer of the Kenya Investment
Authority (KIA), from 15 May (Monday) to 2 June 2006 (Friday) as an
investment promotion expert. While in Japan, he arranged individual
meetings with the Japanese private sectors. He spoke in a business
seminar on 30 May to introduce the investment climate and business

| UNIDO Tokyo invited Mr.
Ghaith A. Sawalha, Head of the Information and Communication Technology
Sector, Jordan Investment Board (JIB), from 15 (Monday) to 18 (Thursday)
May 2006 as an investment promotion expert. While in Japan, he promoted
the "Jordan Trade Investment Forum", which was held from
18 (Sunday) to 20 (Tuesday) June in Amman, and its related industries,
which included pharmaceutical, IT, cosmetics made from Dead Sea mud,
building materials, and infrastructure through individual meetings.

Ecuador |
| UNIDO Tokyo invited Mr.
Luis Fernando Rojas from the Export & Investment Corporation of
Ecuador (CORPEI) from 13 (Monday) to 30 (Thursday) March 2006 as an
investment promotion expert. While in Japan, Mr. Rojas introduced
the recent investment climate and promising investment projects of
the country through factory visits and by participating in the International
Food and Beverage Exhibition (14-17 March at Makuhari Messe). It was
Mr. Rojas' second visit to Japan, following the visit in autumn 2005.

Rwanda |
| UNIDO Tokyo invited Ms.
Rosemary Mbabazi, Rwanda Investment and Export Promotion Agency (RIEPA)
from 30 (Monday) January to 17 (Friday) February 2006 as an investment
promotion expert. While in Japan, Ms. Mbabazi was involved in investment/technology
transfer promotion activities, focusing on agricultural processing
products (coffee, tea etc.), the development of small-scale hydropower
generators, hot springs, tourism and CDM through individual meetings

| ITPO Tokyo invited Mr. Alaya
Bettaieb, Chairman of the Tunisia Venture Capital & Private Equity
Association (TVCA), to Japan from 30 January to 10 February 2006,
to promote cooperation between Tunisia and Japan in venture capital
& private equity through interaction with companies, associations,
universities and technology-related institutes in Japan focused on
this subject area. Tunisia has been promoting venture capital &
private equity business since the late 1990s, and already, there are
dozens of companies active in this field in Tunisia. Mr. Bettaieb
brought with him information on the venture capital market in Tunisia

a delegate from the Kerala State in India to undertake investment
promotion in Japan from 7 to 29 November 2005. Mr. S. Ramnath, General
Manager for Planning and Business Development at KINFRA (Kerala Industrial
Infrastructure Development Corporation) and CEO of ADFIK (Agency for
the Development of Food Processing Industries in Kerala), brought
business opportunities in the following sectors: Biotechnology; IT
for Infotainment and Anime; Food Processing; etc. Kerala State, located

Angelo Samson, Head of the Asia Section in the International Marketing
Department of the Board of Investment (BOI) from 13 July to 25 November
2005 as an investment promotion expert. He can be considered an expert
on Japan through his numerous short-term stays in Japan in the past.
At BOI, he is in charge of elaborating investment promotion plans,
planning and executing investment missions, and consulting foreign
investors. While in Japan, his promotional activities were focused
on IT-related industries, electronic/electronic parts, and medical/health

March 2005. Mr. Abeywicrema has been with BOI since 1994 and has been
involved in investment promotional activities such as consulting,
investment planning, organizing/receiving investment missions, and
introducing local partners to investors. While in Japan, Mr. Abeywickrema

Sri Lanka to the Japanese private sector. Also, he planned individual
